  1. As a new library, the library just had the voice memos. They come through as a folder full of.m4a files deep in /music/Voice Memos/Offload VoiceMemos/iTunes Media/Voice Memos. Of course I copied this folder somewhere else for backup, happily having my memos safe (including those I recently made).
  2. Thank you Allen. I am now wondering how to delete voice memos from my iTuneson the computer but still keep them on my iPhone. It seems as though when I delete them from iTunes, they also get deleted from my iPhone!
  3. When you sync iPhone and Mac with iTunes (12.8.1.2), voice memos are always copied from iPhone to Mac and never deleted from Mac. You can delete voice memos manually from iTunes library but this is cumbersome (when you have already deleted from iPhone). The checkbox 'include voice memos' in iTunes does not help (voice memos are always included).

Well, I shouldn't say 'deleted' since you can't, but my wife gave me her iPhone 6 after I bought her a 7. I was cleaning up the apps that I wasn't going to want and I got rid of the voice memos icon without realizing she had some in there. I got it back but all of the memos are gone.
